Install Pokémon Nova safely on Windows or Android

First: Pokémon Nova is not a ROM hack

Nova is distributed as a standalone RPG Maker project. You do not need Pokémon FireRed, Emerald or another commercial base ROM. You also do not need a patching tool, GBA emulator, 3DS emulator or BIOS file.

This distinction matters: a page offering a prepatched ROM is not the verified Nova route. Begin at the creator-owned Pokémon Nova project page .

Install Pokémon Nova on Windows

1. Open the creator-owned project page and follow its current release route.
2. Extract the standalone package into its own folder. Keep the files together.
3. Open that folder and run Game.exe.
4. Choose English or Spanish in the game settings; both are included in the same package.

Windows is the only platform for which PhionGames offers support. If the creator changes the package or steps later, the current project page and FAQ take precedence over this guide.

Play Pokémon Nova on Android with JoiPlay

The creator FAQ identifies JoiPlay as the Android route. It does not turn Nova into a native Android release, and PhionGames explicitly limits support to Windows.

Use the same creator-owned Nova package, then follow the current JoiPlay setup for your device. Device-specific plugin versions, performance and compatibility are not verified by Pocket Radar, so they are not guessed here.

Update Pokémon Nova without risking your save

The creator FAQ says Windows save files are stored outside the game folder and carry over automatically when you replace that folder. That is helpful, but it is not a reason to skip a backup.

1. Check the creator's changelog before changing versions.
2. Make an independent copy of your current save before replacing any game files.
3. Keep the old game folder until the new version starts and your save appears correctly.
4. Use the new folder as a clean replacement instead of mixing old and new game files.

The exact Windows save path is not stated in the checked creator pages, so this guide does not invent one. If you cannot identify or copy the save safely, pause the update and consult the current creator FAQ.
