Who is responsible?
The current free information service is operated by Pocket Deal Radar from the Netherlands. Contact, corrections and privacy requests go through @PocketDealRadar on X.
Pocket Deal Radar will not activate accounts, payments, a newsletter, ads or its own sales before the final business and contact details, suppliers and processors have been included in this policy.
What data does the current version process?
- Search and filters: are used only in your browser during the open visit and are not stored as a profile.
- Card photos: the current local photo check reads only the filename in the browser window. The image is not uploaded to, analysed or stored by Pocket Deal Radar.
- Accounts: there is no registration, login or user profile.
- Newsletter and alerts: are not connected yet and therefore do not collect email addresses.
- Technical request data: with public hosting, hosting and security providers may temporarily process data such as an IP address, browser information, timestamp and requested page to deliver and secure the service.
Purposes and legal basis
Necessary technical data is used only for delivery, security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. The intended legal basis is the legitimate interest in providing a safe, working service.
Separate, freely given consent will be requested before optional analytics, personalisation, marketing or advertising tracking is activated. Refusal must not block the core functions.
Sharing with others
Pocket Deal Radar does not sell personal data in the current version and does not use advertising networks or external analytics. Necessary hosting and security providers may process technical data under appropriate contractual and security conditions.
If a scanner, advertising partner, analytics service, newsletter or affiliate measurement service is added later, that party will first be included in this policy with its purpose, data category, retention period and any transfers outside the EEA.
Retention and deletion
Pocket Deal Radar does not retain card photos or search queries. The hosting environment may temporarily process necessary technical logs for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Pocket Deal Radar does not use these logs for advertising profiles or personal buying advice.
If accounts are added later, deletion will become available both in the app itself and through the Privacy choices page.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the situation, you have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. You can always withdraw consent without undoing the earlier lawful processing.
A request can be submitted through the published X support channel. Do not include sensitive data in the first message. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Children
Pocket Deal Radar is intended for adults, parents and collectors making purchasing decisions. The service is not aimed at children under 16 and does not ask for children’s data.
Never upload a photo containing a face, name, school, address or other personal detail. If child-oriented features are introduced later, age checks, parental consent and advertising restrictions will be set up in advance.
Security and changes
We apply data minimisation, secure connections, restricted access and supplier checks as soon as processing is activated. If there is a material change, the date at the top will be changed and the explanation updated before the new feature goes live.
